Life Cycle Analysis of a Hydrogen Valley with multiple end-users

Abstract This paper aims to evaluate the environmental impact along overall life cycle of various components a Hydrogen Valley with multiple end-users fed by green hydrogen. As case study, hydrogen valley including MW-scale electrolyser powered different percentages energy supplied wind farm and/or photovoltaic plant, and an H 2 storage section is considered. The produced used feed fleet fuel cell electric vehicles stationary cell, while residue injected in natural gas pipeline considering maximum safety limit 5 %vol . When reached, overproduction can be produce biomethane through biological methanation process. With aim analysing actual contribution these hydrogen-based ecosystems towards more sustainable systems, Life Cycle Analysis carried out. results show that final use for produces most valuable benefits. Moreover, solutions integrated plants allows maximize therefore are choice from point view.
